Historical Information

The American Southwest has a long standing tradition of habitation. From the earliest native inhabitants, to the Spanish Explorers, Mormon Pioneers and immegrants, each group has left an imprint on the land. The American Southwest is no home to a vast array of cultures, peoples and has an extensive history.

Accession Information

This artifical collection was created in by several processed. The main two used were adding orphan items into this collection, as well as seperating donations by material type. When a collection was received, all photographs would be removed and added to this collection. Each photograph was then assigned a subject and image number.

Processing Information

This collection has been digitized and is available to search online. The physical images corresponde with the digitized versions. In March, 2025, items were removed from vertical file cabinets and put into boxes. Item order was retained during this process.
