The Cedar City League of Women Voter Collection includes minutes of meetings, publications, correspondence with local members as well as correspondence with the state League, various programs, and list memberships during the years 1955 through 1990.

Institutional History
The League of Women Voters is organized at three levels - local, state, and national. At one time there were about 350 members in 8 local Leagues (Cache, Davis, Grand, Salt Lake, Utah, Weber, and Washington Counties, Cedar City, and Members-at-Large) under the umbrella of the League of Women Voters of Utah. The League is grassroots and broad-based offering three kings of volunteer service. Voter Service, League Studies, and League Action. The League is best known for Voter Service. League volunteers work with the community and media urging every citizen to registrar and vote. The League believes voters should be informed about public issues. Non-partisan studies are widely distributed to members, the media, government agencies and the public.

The collection is divided into three series. I. Local Organization II. State and National III. Local Publications and Studies. The folders are arranged alphabetically, then chronologically within each section.
