General
The grid, consisting of seven separate lines, is bounded on the east by the Wilson Creek Range, and on the west by the Bristol Range and the Pioche Hills. The northern boundary of the study area coincides with the divide between the northern and southern drainages of Lake Valley, and the southern extent is marked by the abrupt appearance of Hemlight Canyon. The nearest settlement is the town of Pioche Nevada, situated on the southwest margin of the study area.
