Ertec Western, Inc. (formerly known as Fugro National, Inc.) has applied to the Battle Mountain District of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) for a Temporary Use Permit to perform geotechnical tests at 157 locations on BLM property within the district. The proposed program is part of tests being conducted by Ertec Western in conjunction with the U.S. Air Force MX Project. The sites under consideration are located in Lander, Nye, and Eureka Counties, Nevada.
