Institutional History
The College of Southern Utah (CSU) was established as a four year college in 1953. Prior to it's establishment, it was a Branch school of the Utah Agricultural State College, later Utah State University. Orginally known as the Branch Normal School, and then the Branch Agricultural College, CSU began to grow after becoming a four year college. In 1969, CSU transistioned in The State College of Southern Utah.

18.8 Linear Feet : 27 3x5 inch negatives, held in tan photo boxes. 33 blue hollinger boxes.

Arrangement
Items in this collection are arranged into the following two serires. These series were received at different times, and have been arranged differently.
I. Negatives
This series is arranged how it was received. It is assumed the images were orginally kept in chronological order, with the corrent arrangement following that pattern.
II. Photographs
It is assumed that this series was created when loose photos with no home were found or donated to the library. Therefore, these photos have been categorized into the following sub-series:

Accession Information
No documentation exists about the receipt of the images, or any possible donations.
Processing Information
This collections has been processed in various batches. It is unclear when the negatives were originally processed. They were re-inventoried from 2022-2024 by Lorraine Warren. The first photographs from this collection to be digitized occured prior to 2010. It is assumed that the orginal processing occured at scanning, if not before.
