College of Southern Utah Photograph Collections
Items in this collection are photographic negatives and prints. Some print images were created from the negatives for publicity purposes.
En Avante : Women's Literary Club
This collection includes minute books, scrap books, and a photo album. Included in the minute books are lesson topics, programs, newspaper articles, and some memorabilia.
Gladys McConnell Collection
This collection consists of McConnell's writings about early life in Cedar City, papers related to her invovlement in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, correspondence, newsclippings, photograpns and notes. It also includes her book of formulas and reciepes from her profession as a pharmacist and drug store operator, and ice cream made to serve at the local soda fountain.
Gustive O. Larson Collection
This collection contains personal papers and photographs belonging to Gustive Larson. Also included are some of Mr. Larson's writings and historical pamphlets that he collected as well as a handfull of Native American artifacts. The historical pamphlets cover university publications, publications from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and other miscellaneous documents.
Gwyn Clark Collection
In this collection there is a variety of information Gwyn many have used in her teaching of elementary school and higher education classes. There is history of the area, the people of the area, and even a book one of her classes put together about the Iron County Settlement.
Iron County Telephone Company Collection
This collection contains minutes and financial statements of the Iron Co. Telephone Company from 1909-1919. Minutes include those of Stockholders and Directors.
Jeanne O. Bethers Collection
This collection contains some personal papers of Jeanne O. Bethers, but the majority consists of the articles written by Bethers in her role as a correspondent to the Deseret News in Salt Lake City and photographs which accompanied the articles. Some photographs were taken by Bethers herself. The collection includes typed articles, newspaper clippings, subject files, photographs, publications about Southern Utah, correspondence, and miscellaneous items.
John S. and May H. Woodbury Collection
The John S. and May H. Woodbury Collection contains copies of the Service Star, poetry by Dr.George W. Middleton and other papers.
Lillian Higbee Macfarlane Collection
The Lillian Higbee Macfarlane Collection consists of a family records collected by Mrs. Macfarlane and donated by her daughter, Mary Macfarlane MacDonald. Notable among the correspondents in the collection of family letters is John Menzies Macfarlane, prominent 19th century Cedar City and St. George choir director, composer, and surveyor.
