This collection is comprise of annual extension reports from Iron County 1916-1924, and 1931-1948. Included in the year reports are photographs, lists, correspondence, worker reports, and other supporting documents.

Institutional History
The Iron County Extension Office was created in the early 1900s as a means to assist rural farming communities with their agriculutral needs.

Arrangement
Folders are arranged chronologically. Included in the reports are agricultural, livestock, home economic, and 4-H Club activities for the year. Some reports contain photographs. The photographs have been scanned and can be found at the Sherratt Library's online digital collection.

Donated by the Utah State University Extension Services, Iron County Agent, Alan Edwards prior to 1997.
Processing Information:
This finding aid was created by the Special Collections Staff, Gerald R. Sherratt Library. If print, oversize or other materials have been removed to be stored separately it will be noted.
This collection was reprocessed in 2026 by Special Collections Staff. This was due to the use of an inadequate box size for collection. Items were kept in original order, just moved into appropriate boxes, and folders renamed. Digital files were orginally scanned from reports and metadata did not reflect context. Future digital processing should include metadata remediation and changing filenames to reflect new locations. Legacy file names have been put into the processing notes for each folder record.
